TOTOKU launches new i2 series with a next-generation interface, “DisplayPort”

Tokyo, Japan – November 9, 2011 – Totoku refreshes all the 5 models of the i2 model lineup. The new i2 models include a new interface, “DisplayPort,” and take usability a step further.
These new models will be released from November 2011 and on exhibit at RSNA 2011 held in Chicago from November 27 to December 2.

Overview
As well as maintaining all its various functions in their current model, the new i2 models are equipped with a new-generation interface, “DisplayPort,” and a saving-energy function. Also, The internal power supply saves desk space and the multi LUT selection allows up to three brightness and gamma presets for perfect diagnostic confidence.
The monochrome models come with ISD technology (patent pending) realizing three times resolution enhancement and consequently offer excellent image reproduction by using viewer to support ISD technology.

Features

  • The luminance sensor, integrated into the front bezel, consistently monitors and accurately stabilizes luminance on the screen to realize remarkably-stable image display. Combined with optional quality control software, it enables image quality control in conformity with QA standards such as AAPM, DIN and JESRA.
  • 16bit LUT and the calibration function realize smooth grayscale display that is faithful to DICOM GSDF.
  • The IPS LCD panel offers high luminance, high contrast, color reproduction, and wide viewing angle.
  • AR coating technology provides film-like black and accurate reproduction of images.
  • The models are certified under worldwide medical safety standards and EMI standards.
  • The luminance equalizer system is built in to achieve accurate luminance and color uniformity.
  • The monitor can support 10-bit input for each RGB color. *10-bit color viewer software needed for 10-bit color display.
