Basic Policies

We understand that our corporate activities are closely linked with both the regional and global environmental issues. In order for us to fulfill our corporate social responsibilities. we are determined to promote the environmental protection activities as follows:

• 1. We will continue to enhance our environmental management system to prevent environmental pollution, while taking into account that we develop, manufacture, and market products ranging from electric wires to electronics including home electric appliances, IT devices, and related goods, and recognizing the effect on the environment.
• 2. We will comply with the environmental laws, regulations, agreements and other related requirements we have agreed upon.
• 3. We will promote the following environmental improvement activities, keeping in mind that we are members of society as corporate citizens and in line with the impact our business activities, products, and services may have on the environment. We promote:
  • 1) Contributive activities to the community and society
  • 2) Effective use of energy to prevent global warming
  • 3) Proper disposition and reduction of waste, recycling of resources
  • 4) Environmental measures specific to individual product such as reduction of environmental burden
  • 5) Green procurement such as use of eco-friendly parts and materials
• 4. We will set our goals to reduce environmental burden based on these policies, and promote environmental improvement activities. Also, we will review our goals periodically.
• 5. We will raise environmental awareness through education and enlightening activities.
• 6. We will not only familiarize these policies to all employees, but also make available to the public.
